Are you thinking of applying for planning permission In the near future?

If you are then it may be better to do it sooner rather than later as the Local Government Association (LGA) is pressurising the government to allow them to set their own fees for planning applications.

The current fee for domestic extensions is £172 and the LGA has estimated that local authorities have lost £450,000 over the last 3 years on processing planning applications. The LGA is urging the chancellor to completely remove the cap on the planning fees in his autumn statement which is due on November 27th.
