From our very first job re-building a chimney stack on Harrow on-the-Hill, through to providing all ground works for the first timber framed block of flats in Watford, we have delivered time and time again. In the immediate area where we work, we believe there is not a single building contractor that can rival our extensive knowledge of the local housing stock.
From the County roads to workers’ cottages around West Street, through to complete renovation and restoration of the largest homes on the Hill, we have built everything from brick and stone fireplaces to basements, to large double-storey extensions.
Our skill at structural alterations involving precise steelwork speaks for itself. We work closely with Structural Engineers, using our understanding of structure, to make sure that implementing a good structural design does not interfere with the enjoyment of your building project. .

Due to literally decades of experience within our business, we are able to offer alternative suggestions in many situations and, while we are well aware of the Architects’ old adage “never ask a builder for design ideas”, we have repeatedly shown this statement does not apply to LBR. We have an abundance of correspondence from surveyors, architects, home and business owners thanking us for adding value to their projects.
We are particularly skilled at exterior restoration of properties from the Victorian and early Edwardian periods. Our work stretches from Islington to the Chalfonts and from Richmond to Berkhamsted, where we have been called in to provide specialist brickwork and facade renovation.
